Our Natural Resources – environment & climate change adaptation is aimed at “Increased adaptation and resilience of pastoralists and agro-pastoralists (especially 60% women and girls) to climate change and their engagement in natural resource use governance through building the capacity of pastoral communities to respond and manage disasters; promotion of climate-smart technologies; and natural resource governance.

This initiative not only focuses on enhancing the skills and knowledge of these communities but also emphasizes the importance of sustainable practices that can lead to long-lasting benefits. By investing in education and training, we aim to empower women and girls, who play a crucial role in the management of natural resources. Furthermore, collaboration with local governments and organizations is essential to create effective policies that support these efforts. It is vital for us to ensure that the voices of the pastoralists are heard and that they are actively participating in discussions related to their livelihoods and environment.

Overall, this holistic approach seeks to create a robust framework for tackling the adverse effects of climate change while promoting equity and sustainable development.
